Restoration Works is a collaborative effort to restore homes in Lansing’s Eastside neighborhood. We value preservation, adaptive re-use, energy efficiency, sustainable use of materials, life cycle design, aesthetics, history, connection to neighborhoods, stewardship, and durability. These are the values we are using to restore two homes on Kalamazoo Street, both of which are almost 100 years old. Find out about the history of these houses and see pictures here.
Throughout the year we host community workshops inside the homes that highlight the skills, tools, and techniques needed to make renovations in your own home. See the most recent workshops.
The Restoration Works project is a partnership between Allen Neighborhood Center, the Ingham County Land Bank, and Lansing Community College. Find out more about the partners.
